Town twinning is friendship between towns and its citizen.

If it was for the local governments, Turkey would be in the European Union already. ICLEI membership of local governments grew considerably in the past years. Two years ago, a Turkish city won our prestigious Transformative Action Award at the EU Committee of the Regions. Committed cities can be excellent ambassadors.
